Dance Awards ‘‘Italia’’ 2004 Festival Program

Dear Dance Friends,
On June 18, 2004 many Dance Groups will arrive in Italy,
to be featured in "The 12th DANCE AWARDS ITALY JUNE 2004' Competition" for the
Dance Grand Prix Festival Competition Fringe, being held in Italy from June 19
through June 22, 2004.
This exciting trip will give dancers an excellent opportunity to present their work,
to network withdirectors, producers, other artists, (hopefully to negotiate new
engagements!)
and compete and win the awards with the own performances.
Peformance dates will be from June 19 through June 22, 2004, at 19:00 hours.
The Dance Grand Prix Festival literally draws thousands of people from all across
Europe
and other parts of the world, the festival is a thrilling extravaganza of hundreds of
artists
performing dance, theater and music within awonderful aod stage theatre near
the famous Italian Art Cities, courtyards, outdoor cafes and the hotel
accomodations on the beach of the adriatic coast
this truly promises to be an unforgettable experience.
Choreographers receive hotel three star accommodations in twin/three beds
rooms with bathroom/shower,
based on two/three persons sharing a room.
We provide an entire and complete production package which includes excellent
theaters,
lighting, sound, technical assistance, publicity, pre-show rehearsal arrangements,
and
printed programs and posteer advise all over the city, all for 399 Euro per person
(excluding airfare).
Payment of 399 Euro will be made in one payments directly when you arrive in Italy.

Our managers will meet your dance groups on the "Welcome Bus Service" in the
meeting pointe airport.

themselves
and who are interested in expanding their knowledge of other cultures, as well as
promoting

The main focus will be Dance - Classical, Modern, Contemporary, Jazz, Hip Hop,
Funky, Folk and all of the various interpretations of Dance Theatre Laboratories.
Theatre space will be given to Schools and Dance Departements where students
and guest artists will dispay one or more pieces of a performance or review which
will compete for prizes in the various categories of the "Dance Awards ‘‘Italia’’
2004".
The Opening Ceremony - Show on June 20th will be held in Cesenatico.
All of the festival participants and the great international guests will perform that
evening for notable experts from the world of culture and show business and
press and media representatives.
The international Jury will welcome the artists, dancers and all of the participants
to this international event. The Award Career Prize will also be awarded that
evening to an outstanding figure in international dance.
The closing ceremony and awarding of the " DanceAwards Italia 2004" will be held
on June 23th at the Theatre.
Enclosed you will find the program and participation costs as well as descriptions
of the prestigious theatres in which the dance evenings will be held, the Hotels
where participants are lodged and finally, the restaurants where every
representative of each performance will receive a final applause.
We are certain of providing an unforgettable experience in the magic of Europe
and we are at your disposal for additional general information and specific
information on the norms and modalities which guide the more technical aspect of
the festival: length of pieces and their artistic character, rehearsal time in the
theatres, etc.

Candidates must provide the music of their performances recorded in minidiscs
and in CD (normal tapes will be accepted) together with their application form.
You must write on the cover of each Md, the name of the candidate, his category
and the name of the piece. All Md will be checked for quality by our technician.
Observation: Candidates must have one additional tape for rehearsal.
If you have any particular "Theatral requirement" or should like to know the rules
of the competition, please don't hesitate to e-mail me.

8:00 AM Breakfast in the Hotel.
The managers of the Schools will meet the Festival officials and will be given the
Festival’s program and all entry tickets for "GALA" events.
10:00 AM The Schools will rehearse the performance that they will present that
evening at the "Inaugural Galà" at the THEATRE in Cesena.
6:00 PM "Inaugural Gala" of the Festival.

JUNE 20th
8:00 AM Breakfast in the Hotel.
Advice:
In the morning a visit to Ravenna City
optional visit to to Florence or Venice by Bus charter.

JUNE 21th
8:00 AM Breakfast in the Hotel.
"Beach Time".
1:00 PM Some Schools will rehearse the performance that they will present that
evening at the Municipal Theatre .
7:00 PM "Second GALA" of the Festival.

JUNE 22th
8:00 AM Breakfast in the Hotel. Advice: In the morning a visit is proposed to San
Marino the oldest “State Republic” in Europe or "Beach Time".
11:00 AM Some Schools will rehearse the performance that they will present that
evening at the Theatre.
7:00 PM "Final GALA" and awarding of the Dance Grand Prix "Italia"

JUNE 23th
8:00 AM Breakfast in the Hotel and Departure.
Partecipation fee
The "fee" is 449 Euro
For each dancer and chaperone participant
Lodging in two star hotels or Residence near the Event locations;
The deadline is 30 /May/2004
The participation fee includes:
1- Accommodation for six nights in Hotel.
2- Breakfast every morning.
3- Excursions and cultural programs according to theatrical commitments.
4- Transportations from Hotels to the Theatres.
5- Transportations by charter bus to Ravenna City (optional to Florence or Venice).
6- Total Insurance coverage in theatres, busses and train.
7- Lunch or Dinner in Hotel every days (follow the theatrical committement the
organizzation can change the Lunch or Dinner in Hotel with packet Lunch or
Dinner caterinng).
The participation fee does not include:
1- Transportation from your countries as for as Cesena-Italy Go/Return.
2- Beverages in Dinner.
